The Sales Engineer is the technical lead responsible for technical and business requirements discovery, design, engineering, consulting, proposal preparation support and technical presentations to customers for Industrial IoT/Cyber Security solutions.
Preferred candidates have strong technical background in the industrial industry, security engineering, network security, information assurance, cloud security and knowledge of network threat detection.
  • Act as technical subject matter expert with a thorough understanding products, features, functions and benefits to communicate and influence clients
  • Performs customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs and design requirements necessary for the formulation of optimal solutions
  • Design solutions for customers
  • Document and present solutions to the customer
  • Perform product demonstrations
  • Perform site survey and evaluate client criteria
  • Provide technical assistance as necessary with onsite deployment
  • Perform technical evaluations
  • Provide technical guidance to partners and assist them in effectively selling solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Must have field pre-sales experience in enterprise security solutions and networking
  • Industrial automation, industrial controls or industrial security sales assistance experience
  • Experienced in product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and interfacing with external clients
  • Strong knowledge of multiple infrastructure security tools (firewall, IDS/IPS, Cyber Defense)
  • ICS/SCADA, TCP, UDP protocols
  • Firewall experience (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall, Palo Alto, etc.)
  • A strategic approach to technical selling with a professional understanding of customer expectations
  • The ability to be customer-focused and responsive to their needs
  • Effective presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to understand business problems, effectively discuss these issues and present and prepare solutions
  • The ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff and managers in customer environments
