Sales Representative, Embedded Software

About the Role

Leading embedded software company is seeking an Account Manager who is passionate about cultivating strong customer partnerships and driving strategic growth within high-reliability technology markets. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of clients, ensure their ongoing satisfaction, and introduce solutions that support their engineering and business objectives. You will be the connective link between customers and internal technical teams, helping translate needs into actionable proposals that advance both client outcomes and company goals. Your contributions will directly impact revenue performance, customer retention, and the expansion of our footprint across key industry sectors.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prioritize your account strategy, outreach, and territory activities to meet assigned revenue goals.
  • Drive adoption of our software and technology solutions within Automotive, Rail/Transportation, Aerospace, and Defense accounts.
  • Manage opportunities from qualification through close — including prospect engagement, scoping requirements, preparing customized proposals, and guiding opportunities through the decision-making process.
  • Lead specialized customer engagement projects such as outbound call programs, data quality reviews, and account-based outreach efforts.
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, technical events, workshops, roadshows, and industry exhibitions to support both new logo acquisition and account expansion.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company’s CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) to support forecasting, reporting, and pipeline transparency.
  • Work with senior leadership to develop and refine sales plans focused on penetrating new accounts and strengthening relationships with existing customers through cross-sell and upsell initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Application Engineers and other in-country team members to deliver compelling value propositions and ensure customers receive the highest level of pre- and post-sales support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of technology-driven sales environments.
  • 3+ years experience in Sales or Customer Success; experience within Automotive, Semiconductors, Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, or related industries is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities — comfortable engaging customers via email, phone, and virtual/in-person meetings.
  • Foundational sales skills, including negotiation, objection handling, and persuasive communication.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build business, deepen customer relationships, and uncover new opportunities.
